Sound People is a series of environmental portraits documenting the divers and open-water swimmers who brave the 44°F waters of Puget Sound for recreation and work. Shot solo at sunrise around Elliott Bay and Lake Washington in February 2026, the project captures not just who these people are but where they belong, cold water, winter light, and all. These are some of the toughest and most joyful people in Seattle.

Lauren is a Principal Product Designer who needed new headshots built around the specific layout and UI constraints of her portfolio relaunch. The shoot was organized around three Pinterest mood boards covering color, lighting, and composition, including poses designed for the heavy horizontal cropping of her desktop hero banner. The final delivery was three high-resolution images, now live on her site.

A collaborative studio production between SCC Visual Media, SCC Fashion Design, and SMG Model Management, this project captured lookbook and editorial assets for three designers across a full-day shoot on a Marmalade seamless. Three lighting setups cycled across 20-minute sessions, with models and designers rotating between sets in 30-minute blocks across three photographers. To keep delivery clean and efficient, the team tethered into a single Capture One workstation and manually switched destination folders at every rotation.
